Maple Weekend is a province-wide event presented by the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers' Association to encourage residents and tourists to visit maple syrup operations across the province on the first weekend in April. Again this year (April 4 &5, 2026) the On The Bend Sugar Shack in partnership with the Kemptville Campus, The Kemptville Rotary Club and the Kemptville Youth Center offered tours of the operation, forest tours, Brunches which included PANCAKES with beans, sausage and fruit, live music, and other activities including taffy pulls! The event took place on Bedell Road at the Peter Wensink Maple Forest. Maple products were available for sale on site. Proceeds from the breakfast are returned to the community through the activities of the Kemptville Rotary Club abd KYC.
