Our speaker this evening was Gary Blake, President of the North Grenville Arts Guild. In his presentation, Gary shared with our members how he transitioned from a retired family physician to a passionate artist. Having not painted since the age of 12, at the urging of his wife he rediscovered the joy and intensity of art. He mentioned that he was fortunate enough to be mentored by Charlie Spratt, an area artist of renown who helped him in his new journey. He also spoke to the North Grenville Arts Guild and the great support it gives local artists.
