CLUB CELEBRATIONS:
None Indicated
- President Anna advised everyone they should be receiving the district newsletter by e-mail.
- The Rotary Club of South Nepean is holding the 8th Annual Taste of Barrhaven, on Monday May 27th, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School in Barrhaven. Tickets are $45.00
- Rotarian John Wilson reminded everyone of the TTC BBQ on the 21st.
- Rotarian Rob noted that there are still some spots for selling duck tickets. It appears that we have enough volunteers for the event on May 26th.
- Rotarian Mike Goss thanked all those who contributed to the Big Bike event. Approximately $3,500 was raised.
Susan Walker and Jane Pelletier spoke about Beth Donovan Hospice, providing the club with a brief overview of the Hospice including its history and the some of the challenges it faces. All agreed it provides a valuable service to the community.
Upcoming Programme:
May 21 - Dinner meeting at Charly's Restaurant on the Patio with guest speaker Amber Payne on Gardening. (bring all your gardens questions)
May 28 - Dinner meeting at W.B. George with committee meetings and Board report.
June 1 - Rotary Party at Nancy and John’s – Potluck, car rally etc etc . bring a friend (more details to follow)
June 4 - Rotary spaghetti dinner meeting at the Youth Centre with company. Youth will present their My View film festival presentations.
President Anna closed the meeting with the Four Way Test.
